Blue Midi Dress

“A woman’s dress should be like a barbed-wire fence: serving its purpose without obstructing the view.”

This is a blue dress that I saw on the rack and grabbed right away. What caught my eye was the gold hardware on the shoulder straps and the cutout running down the center of the back. Anything backless is usually a major WIN for me. I’m just that obsessed! The length was also perfect because it gave the dress a classy and elegant appeal and balanced the open back.

I wanted to keep this look simple and have the dress be the focus so I paired it with my trusty Sam Edelman T-strap heels. I also experimented with cinching the waist with a belt which accentuates and gives shape.
