I am a big fan of the women’s suiting trend. Just like with guys, a sharp suit can instantly elevate your style. But what if you are having a more casual day that doesn’t require a full-on suit? This casual blazer look is simple to put together and is so versatile – it can go from the office to after-work drinks and make an appearance at a weekend hang-out the day after.
To put his look together, start with a blazer. You can also use a suit jacket but unlike a suit that should be tailored to fit you perfectly, the blazer can be more oversized and slouchy. Go for 1 or 2 sizes larger than you’d normally wear. I like this gray checkered blazer as it looks classic enough for the work environment but still has enough texture to make it more interesting. Layer an all-white look underneath. I love this ribbed tank top from Aerie. Skip the pants and go for wide-legged or bell-bottom denim in matching white. Once we have your white-gray base, add color in your shoes and bag. Bright colors like red & blue provide enough contrast against the monotone look. Keep it casual with sandals instead of heels and your casual gray blazer outfit is all done!
