On our drive from the West Coast to Vieques, we just had to stop in San Juan again. This time we stayed 2 nights at the amazing O:VL Fifty Five Hotel situated right on the Condado Lagoon. An adult-only property with old Hollywood glamour, amazing amenities, attentive staff and a rooftop with a bar, pool, hot tub, and views to kill for! – Room with a View and Instagrammable Decor –
We stayed in the Panorama Suite Beyond Balcony and as the name alludes to, it had a wrap-around balcony with views of the Condado Lagoon. We honestly spent our first night on the balcony just enjoying the cool Caribbean breeze and watching the lights of San Juan across the water.
The room itself had a lot of cool and well-thought-out details too. Some of my favorites were the beautiful marble floors, floor-to-ceiling tinted windows that helped with shading the sun, easy to use mood lighting switches, heated mirror with his and hers sinks and a stunning walk-in shower with 8 or 10 shower heads! (I honestly lost count trying to adjust them all 🙂
– Rooftop Pool –
Your girl had to take a break from all of the amazing beaches that we’ve visited on the West and North coasts (full recap coming soon!) and just do a full day of R&R the old NYC-chic way – relaxing by the rooftop pool! Arya Rooftop served drinks and had a full food menu with crispy calamari, pork dumplings and tuna tartar in an indoor-outdoor sitting combination. A golden Rolls Royce parked indoors allegedly turns into a DJ booth to get the party started that will hopefully make a comeback after the pandemic is over. I could have spent the whole day by the pool if not for a pleasant surprise that we found on the terrace just above us…

– Terrace with a Hot Tub –
Yes, O:LV did not stop at just a pool and a rooftop restaurant, they also added a whole terrace with cabanas, lounge chairs and a hot tub for guests to enjoy. And we did enjoy it to the fullest. It was the perfect place to relax on a cool night with a glass of Prosecco and your partner by your side.
